Thang Hen lake is in Tra Linh district, about 25km from
Cao Bang town, it is a beautiful lake high on the mountain, thousands of meters from the sea level, the lake is located in a forest of white "Tram" trees. The pound lake, about 3000 m long and 1000 m wide, is composed of 36 beautiful lakes on the high mountains, is surrounded by dense trees reaching to the mountain cliffs, the green water bends is flow around the valley scattered with underwater rocks. Across the lake is a big cave from which water flows out, especially the tides go up and down twice a day and make the water of the lake always green, in the middle of the lake is a spectacular
islet.
