The Spirit of Adventure
Hey
everyone, just got back from my 40-day

Vung Tau!!.

- ABOUT VUNG TAU
Vung Tau itself is a hidden gem. It's not as touristy as other beach towns, but
it has everything I need – beaches, markets, Grab and delicious local food. One
of my favorite things was hiking up the nearby hill every day to catch the
breathtaking views of the city and ocean from the top
- ABOUT HOTEL
I stayed at Surf Hostel, it's a new hostel, and I can tell they've put a lot of
effort into making it special. Instead of cramming in as many rooms and beds as
possible like other hostels, the owner, Constantine, prioritizes creating a
relaxing and homely atmosphere over making a quick buck. With plenty of common
areas and a well-equipped kitchen, the decor is beautiful at every corner,
adorned with lush greenery. It’s always clean with a chill vibe, which all adds
to the unique charm of this place. I originally booked for just two nights, but
I ended up extending my stay to a week because it just felt like home.

- ABOUT SURFING
It’s the perfect place for people who like or want to learn surfing! There's a
long coast with good waves, and Surf Hostel offers surf classes and board
rentals that are very budget friendly. Compared to places I’ve been to like
Mui Ne,
Nha Trang,
Da Nang, and
Hoi An, the prices
here are unbelievably less than half, because Constantine is passionate about
sharing the joy of surfing and wants to make it accessible to more people. He
has many years of surf coaching experience both locally and overseas. He always
goes out early in the morning to check the waves, then takes people to the
correct beach to catch better waves for the surfing class.
They take care of this hostel as if it were their own home, treating me like a
friend or even family. We shared drinks and food with the staff and other
tenants, hung out together, and laughed together. They never tried to sell me
any tours or bus tickets, and they didn't even mention their surfing classes
until I asked.
I know, they're not very good at running a surf hostel as a business lol. That’s
why, as a former customer and now friend, I'd like to recommend this place here
because I want to see a good place succeed. I’ll forever cherish my days at Surf
Hostel, and I hope you’ll create special memories there, just as I did.
