Hanoi opens New Year festival

 

Youth Culture House has celebrated the opening of Vietnamese Tet Festival - Giap Ngo lunar year 2014, which lasted from 19th December to 5th January on lunar calendar with many musical activities, Ong Do street, Spring newspaper exhibitions...

Vietnam Tet FestivalSpeaking at the opening ceremony, musician Pham Dang Khuong, deputy director of the Youth Cultural House, introduced the activities of festivals throughout the year, most notably Pho Ong Do (Master of writing art) in collaboration with dozens of young artists has become traditional beauty of Vietnamese Tet festival in the house. Khuong also thanked the artists and hoped the festival will be the meaningful entertainment place for the youth during Tet holidays.

Spring newspaper exhibition provides free newspapers to readers organized by Ho Chi Minh city's Journalist Association in corporation with Youth Cultural House serving the public with hundreds of newspaper in beautiful colours. Readers can enjoy the Women's Spring 2014 with many of the distinctive articles written by famous journalists Tran Thuy Mai, Bich Ngan, Phan Ngoc Doan, Vi Thuy Linh... presented in tasteful colors.

Young writing artists in traditional clothes assigned in different stalls serving people during holidays. The words "Happiness", "Luck", "Wealth" are the most favourite. At the opening night, many young people have focused on this area to visit, write letters, take photos...making the place become quite busy. In addition, the store also sold many letter paintings, lucky objects for home decoration, New Year's Day altar.
