Farm trips launched in Vietnam
Hanoi based tour
company Tailormade Vietnam Holidays is planning to launch a
new tour to countryside farm land of Hai Duong as a new product.
Speaking to the media, Mr David Hung, sales manager of the company
said "We are running testing trips before officially launching in
early next year, the tour will provide tourists a close look at
daily life of farmers in northern Vietnam, at the pace of
urbarnization in Vietnam the original values are losing and we want
to recover part of our traditions"
As an agriculture country, Vietnam stands as the world's second
biggest exporter of rice, most of it's rice come from southern
Mekong Delta and Red river delta in the north with millions of hecta
under rice cultivation. Foreign toursists coming to Vietnam are
surprised to see farmers working on rice fields without machine,
just bare hands and a buffalo, and the buffalo has become a symbol
of Vietnam rice agriculture.
As a local tour company, Tailormade Vietnam Holidays specializes in
private Vietnam
tours and travel information for tourists visiting
Vietnam, the company provides travel services for individual
travelers, couples, families and small groups throughout Vietnam.
This tour will give travellers a chance to experience a day as a
farmer, travellers will go ploughing and raking on the paddy field
with a buffalo, especially they will experience the feeling of
riding on a buffalo on the peaceful countryside paths, leisurely
bicycling in village lanes, experience the authentic and traditional
Vietnamese way of life, a wonderful opportunity to interact and see
first hand the living conditions and typical farm life. Tourists
will listen to the farmer explaining the process of the wet rice
cultivation, learning how to do and look after them, joining the
local family for sharing cooking and having lunch together.
Beside activities on the rice fields, guests will also visit the
famous temple of a national hero Khuc Thua Du, an old and sanctitive
temple in north of Vietnam, attending the unique Hong Phong original
water puppet village and enjoy a sampan boat trip around the stork
island located in Chi Lang Nam commune, home to 20.000 stork and
more than 7000 herons of various kinds and precious birds such as
pelicans and teals residing together.
