Da Lat tourism week
The southern
Vietnam province Lam Dong is quickly preparing to upgrade
infrastructure, renovate the city, historical and tourist sites in
Da Lat in preparation for the Cultural - Tourism Week in the coming
time.
As
the main location of the Culture - Tourism Week and celebrate 120
year establishment, Da Lat has renovated, upgraded, expanded and
repaired sidewalks and pavements of more than 30 urban routes such
as Hung Vuong, Tran Hung Dao, Tran Phu, Ba Thang Hai, Nam Ky Khoi
Nghia, Phan Dinh Phung...
The city has invested in some new and restored roundabout ways to
fit the new space. A series of electricity posts, traffic signs,
drainage, buildings, urban lighting system and art lighting in
downtown area is being upgraded and refreshed. Local markets such as
makeshift market Phan Chu Trinh, night market and second hand stuff
markets are removed, rearranged. Instead, Da Lat has brought 2 new
trade centres into operation, serving the needs of local people and
tourists.
Besides infrastructure, Lam Dong province and Da Lat city has
invested more in improvement of famous landscapes, monuments which
had been degraded by the effects of the environment and agricultural
production. After renovation, the landscape Than Tho lake has
basically restored it's beauty as before. Other sites like Tuyen Lam
Lake, Love Valley, Mong Mo hill, Prenn waterfall, Xuan Huong Lake,
City garden were... also renovated, adding many new items.
Da Lat is also developing more parks for visitors and residents such
as Lam Vien Square - the venue for the opening and closing nights of
Culture - Tourism Week, Tran Quoc Toan Park ( Park - the city's
first cherry flower park, the first paper flower in the campus of
the University of Da Lat... Many ancient villas as Cadasa Dalat
Resort, villas Tran Hung Dao - Hung also refurbished, decorated to
welcome the visitors on the occasion of Culture - Tourism Week this
year.
