Mai
Chau lodge
Description
Now, the whole point of staying Mai Chau is the 'homestay' style experience you get in the villages, but some people don't do homestays, they are looking for the comfort. The tastefully decorated rooms here are done up with dark wood, bright colours, and sleek lines. It's a full service place: hand towel and welcome drink on arrival, free water and fruit in all the rooms, which all have balconies with cafe tables -- get a room in the back for the best views. There's a small but pretty pool, sauna and spa services, free internet, and even a small library with English language books. It's a good boutique resort from top to bottom, with a friendly English-speaking staff. There are two wooden bungalows being prepped as honeymoon suites on the pond in back of the hotel. The walls are thin, so don't expect to book during winter months, but they look promising for those looking for privacy and a romantic setting.
