Can Tho city

Can Tho city vietnam

A city in the middle of the Mekong Delta, Can Tho city is located in a flat region, surrounded by interlaced rivers and canals, the city is blessed with vast paddy fields and fertile land.

Coming to Can Tho, one can take a boat cruise down to riverside orchards like My Khanh, Ba Lang, Tan Binh...stretch along the cirle roads, over the rivers of Phong Dien, Phung Hiep, O Mon, Thot Not...just take a walk under shady trees and take in fresh air, enjoy ripe fruit in the gardens, your lunch will be more beautiful with country specialities such as grilled fish wrapped in clay, Mang Cut sushi...Delta night is very peaceful in the little wooden houses scattered in the lush gardens.

If you are have a leisure afternoon, take a boat trip to visit Phung Hiep floating market, a famous one in the seven way junction on Can Tho river. This is where small sampans meet and trade everything from wines, rice, food and drinks...One cannot help but get touched with delta girls rowing boats full of fruit, all wearing conical hats and shoulders covered by long hair. Young people with typical strong low voice moving back and forth carrying goods.

Heading towards Long Xuyen town of An Giang, about 5km beyond Thot Not one will reach Bang Lang stork farm, located at the end of Bang Lang bridge, you can sit under shady trees, let your feeling fly over immense rice fields filled with water after harvest season, feel the peacefulness in your mind. When the sun is about to set, thousands of storks will find their way to the nests, noisily calling each other, all make a wonderful natural picture.
