Stilt houses of Tay people
INTRODUCTION
Sometimes
referred to as Ba Be national park, Ba Be lakes in Bac
Kan province is the largest natural fresh water lake in
Vietnam, The beautiful region is a tropical rain forest area
that covers more than 23,000 hectares, including waterfalls,
rivers, deep valleys, lakes, and caves which make it a
picturesque landscape. The surrounding area is home to
members of the Tay minority,
who live in stilt houses.
A marvelous boat trip on clear water, contemplating the
wonderful untouched nature surrounded with bamboo clusters,
lianas and flowers along the riverside, watch the fishermen in
their pirogues and trek to the hill tribe villages in the
dense jungle will give you an unforgettable experience

Day
1: Hanoi - Ba
Be lakes
Early this morning you will be picked up at your hotel to
leave for Ba Be. On the way, stop to take photos of panorama
of the countryside and meet hill tribe people, have lunch in
Bac Can, visit home electric dam and Tay village along the
way...
Arrive in Ba Be in the afternoon. Free time to relax
Day 2: Babe Lakes exploration
Today we embark on a boat cruising down the Nang River which
is the main water source of the lake. This exciting river trip
will give us a taste of the tranquil countryside and an
enjoyable exploration of the Ba Be National Park. We traverse
the Poong Grotto en route before stopping at some nearby hill
tribe villages
and getting off the beaten track to the scenic Dau Dang
Waterfalls. In one of the desolated villages near the water
you'll spend the night in a traditional Tay house.
Day 3: Ba Be, return to Ha Noi
Back to Hanoi. More stops on the way at minority villages.
Visit the Vietnam Minority People Museum in Thai Nguyen.
Arrive in Hanoi at 15h00. End tour.
